Halloween Candy Is Finally Here — and NERDS Came Dressed for It
There's a very specific moment every year when summer is technically still hanging around, but the candy aisle has already decided it's October.
Orange packaging starts appearing. Little bats show up where there were absolutely no bats last week. Everything suddenly has the word spooky on it.
Frankly, we support this.
Halloween candy season is officially here, and NERDS has shown up appropriately dressed for the occasion.
NERDS, but make it spooky
For Halloween, the usual explosion of NERDS color gets a seasonal makeover — orange, purple and white candy pieces, Halloween characters, and bright orange packaging that makes no attempt to be subtle.
That includes NERDS Gummy Clusters Spooky in share-size packaging, along with the delightfully chaotic NERDS Rope Spooky.
Same general NERDS energy. Different wardrobe.
This is part of why seasonal candy is fun. It doesn't have to reinvent anything. Take something people already love, give it a limited-time Halloween personality, done.
Gummy Clusters were basically made for Halloween
NERDS Gummy Clusters already look like somebody threw a handful of tiny candy into a costume party — soft gummy center, crunchy NERDS pieces on the outside, chewy and crunchy in the same bite.
The Halloween version swaps the rainbow for orange, purple and white. Put them in a bowl and nobody needs a sign explaining what month it is.
They also work well beyond trick-or-treat bags: Halloween parties, office candy bowls, movie nights, school and team celebrations, fall care packages, party favors, and the emergency stash you claim is “for guests.”

Halloween candy season has begun.
The pumpkins can wait. The sweaters can wait. The weather can figure itself out whenever it's ready.
But the candy aisle has spoken. And NERDS apparently brought costumes.
