Liquid Death Pop-Tarts Want You to Have a Bad Morning

Why would two brands actually want you to have a bad morning?
Apparently, Liquid Death and Pop-Tarts have had enough of those picture-perfect morning routines. You know the ones. Up at 5 a.m., green smoothie in hand, workout completed, and somehow there's still time to meditate before breakfast.
Their response? “Make It a Bad Morning.”
That's the name of the latest Pop-Tarts x Liquid Death campaign, and it's taking a hilarious jab at the internet's obsession with perfect mornings.
And naturally, there's a new Pop-Tart involved.
Meet Squeezed to Death Frosted Orange
The new Pop-Tarts Liquid Death Squeezed to Death Frosted Orange is a limited-edition toaster pastry inspired by Liquid Death's Squeezed to Death Orange sparkling water.
The pastry features a golden-orange crust, citrus-flavored filling, white frosting, and orange sprinkles. According to the brands, there's even a buttery sugar-cookie note to balance out the bright orange flavor.
Orange soda meets breakfast pastry. Who had that on their 2026 bingo card?
It's certainly not your typical strawberry or brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tart.
This Isn't Their First Breakfast Experiment
Believe it or not, Liquid Death and Pop-Tarts have already been down this road.
Earlier this year, Liquid Death introduced Pop-Tarts Carnage, an iced tea inspired by the classic Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts flavor.
That time, they turned a Pop-Tart into a drink.
Now they've reversed the experiment, turning an orange-flavored drink into a Pop-Tart.
Apparently, one collaboration wasn't enough. And considering the personalities of both brands, we're not entirely surprised.
So, How Does It Taste?
We tried the new Squeezed to Death Frosted Orange Pop-Tarts, and our reviews were mixed.
The first thing that came to mind was orange sherbet. Remember that sweet, slightly creamy orange flavor from childhood? Imagine something along those lines, only tucked inside a frosted pastry instead of served in a bowl. It's more reminiscent of a nostalgic frozen dessert than a glass of orange juice, with the sugar-cookie notes giving it an extra layer of sweetness.
Some of us loved that orange-sherbet vibe. It was different, a little nostalgic, and surprisingly fun. Others weren't quite convinced that orange belonged inside a Pop-Tart, especially with all that frosting adding even more sweetness. If you're expecting something tart and citrusy, this leans more toward dessert territory.
And perhaps that's what makes this collaboration interesting. It's the kind of flavor that has everyone at the table taking another bite just to decide whether they actually like it.
While everyone else is trying to perfect their mornings, Pop-Tarts and Liquid Death seem perfectly happy creating a little breakfast chaos.
And if your morning already started badly, at least there's frosting.
